Most premade sausage patties from the freezer section at the grocery store contain a lot of unhealthy ingredients including nitrates, sugar, preservatives and more. I came up with a simple, delicious recipe made with only pasture raised pork and organic spices. It does not contain sugar or sweeteners. It is easy to make. I make a batch, freeze the leftovers in glass tupperware, and pull them out anytime for breakfast or for any other meal. These taste great paired with organic veggies too.
If I don’t feel like making the patties, I also just cook the ground meat and spices in a skillet. I add the meat and spices to a stainless steel skillet and mix them together well. I brown the meat and drain the fat (in a stainless steel colander-please don’t use plastic) when the meat is almost done. I then put the meat back in the skillet to brown and cook until done.
If you aren’t a pork person, feel free to try this with ground turkey. I’d recommend trying it with the dark meat. I haven’t tried it yet, but I bet it would be fantastic!!
My family loves this sausage, and they typically eat it with pasture raised eggs or inside one of my homemade biscuits. Get the recipe here for the biscuits if you’d like to try that combo!

This is a much healthier choice of sausage. I hope you and your family enjoy it.
